I've just received the latest update on the wild extravaganza planned for the celebration of the would-be birthday of our beloved, late, great Dr Hunter S Thompson.
The head of publicity for the event just emailed me with some further news. He also asked me to keep some of the details under my hat for a few more days - as is common with this type of event. He wrote:
"Hi Charles,
There are quite a few updates. First of all we have an all-star reading list including some very special guests that we won't be unveiling until the reading. The reading will kick off at 11:30 [Ed]. It will be a very special picnic to say the least. The reading will feature a live webcast for those that cannot make it. I will email you the link for the video as soon as we have it locked down.
