People like to share a joke much more than they like to hear one. We bond together around a common laugh. Pointed outward together in unity the unquestionable, mutual foe may be tackled and derided collectively.
Knowledge may also be used equally to build up of tear down. I prefer the atmosphere when it's being used to build mutual understanding, individual empowerment. The only one that seems to like it when using knowledge to tear others down is the only one left to themselves.
