Please take a moment to review the following video :
Life is short, but this video isn't.
The reason why viewers might be forgiven for having a feeling of a marjuiana moment where the world slows completely to a standstill, is because at the centre of these aphorisms are the same human needs for which we've sought satisfaction our whole lives.
We know the film maker is right. We've always known it, because really this is all we ever think about.
I like the movie. I like its principles & message. Each aphorism presented is its own truth.
The 1st problem is we don't know the depths that can be experienced of each of the truths presented.
The 2nd problem is that even were we to solve the 1st, we still would not know how to go on practically accomplishing them in our own lives for our selves.
I like the ambience of this production. I've seen his productions before & they're always well made. What is often lacking is any kind of detail behind the feel good exhortations they bring.
What is certainly missing is the pain someone needs to experience in order to change. This glossy, idealistic representation is therefore experientially inauthentic.
Certainly, the sugar coated message helps me subscribe to the channel, but will not likely bring me anytime soon into the light if it's truths.
The producer also credits his audience with too much intelligence.
Many people I know do not know their needs. They may feel a howl of emptiness within if they're lucky. Even so, they likely have no way to go about satisfying themselves.
Many may erroneously think this video is telling them to take up more physical activity. Maybe they should keep fit, or even take up cycling.
Our problem even then isn't our behaviour. The human problem the world over is with the human heart.
We don't live because our hearts are full of the troubles and fears for this existence in which I've found myself.
I can't fix my behaviours because I can't fix my heart.
This is the human condition. But where is the solution?
That is my problem. That is everybody's problem.
I haven't time to discuss any of this in detail, I'm trying to get my response ready for you guys to enjoy with your lunch.
Bon appetite.
