Mud

Over a year on from the #Brexit vote, & 9 months from Trump's inauguration, here we are. Did the dysfunction of either political system get any better? The systems in our countries are working through a reset. The UK exit from the EU will occur, much more slowly than was first suggested. The May "empire", that never really was, will crumble & be replaced by another package, with the same, self-interested people pulling the strings. The USA looks to date, as if it'll be largely run by a coalition of wills between the murky Democrats & Trump, until the GOP has been ignored, long enough. And so, the great image blunders on, standing as best it can, on its ever muddier feet.

The power of #British #Brexit #legal #hypocrisy

The outgoing "President" of the UK supreme court makes a parting shot today at the government, saying that his judges, responsible for ruling against the government's approach to #Brexit, & thus branded by UK #MSM as "enemies of the people" (Daily Mail) were not defended quickly enough, thus challenging the rule of law as a bedrock of British society.

It's a bizarre feature of the UK social system that the elite, who've assumed they rule us, whilst we fund their capitalist regime, gain our acquiescence to our own financial & even physical destruction via these sorts of hypocritical deceits.

America, also under the law & therefore a country of law & legal enforcement, affords its citizens amendments to its constitution as legal rights. The first of such amendments entitles all US inhabitants the right to freedom of speech, regardless of how odious that speech might be.

Britain, technically doesn't have a constitution at all, although I'm assured by legal specialists in my office that there is a constitution "somewhere" embodied in British law, if you splice bits of it together.

What is bullshit, is the Great British middle class's insistence of the objectivity of public officials in their ability to somehow put aside their personal feelings about everything whilst considering such cases only on the basis of the "facts" of each case.

At the same time, there are calls for better diversity to be demonstrated in the appointees to this highest court in the land. Currently there's only one, white woman & the rest are all white men. One spokesman on that vile tool of British social conditioning, the #BBC #bbcnews #l @BBCr4today programme suggested this narrowness meant that such white, middle class, predominantly male judges were incapable of understanding the social backgrounds and situations of their much more diverse subjects in the cases they presided over. Clearly, there's no need for me to also explain the much higher ratio of UK black to white "criminals" that have their cases considered by the UK supreme court.

The reasons for this contradiction are beyond you and me, the "normal" people of the country, who go about our business, working our arses off in shitty jobs, to buy crap we don't need, if we're lucky not to just be trying to keep our stupid, undereducated heads above the rising tide of debt, on which our wonderful society is built.

In answer to the question by the @BBCr4today journotard, the judgetard strongly protested at the suggestion that the UK supreme court appointees should be subjected to the same kind of governmental, public scrutiny they do in the US circus. The white man judgetard simply said he was happy that legal deliberations were made by his judge colleagues without any knowledge on his part of their personal political affiliations.

Of course, many social scientists have declared, for over a century, that there's no such thing as pure objectivity in any human decision making - that, as those calling for more diversity on our courts' benches exclaim, human beings' judgements will always be coloured by subjectivity. That's the main reason research students are always told that it's never objectivity, but validity that must be fought for.

The irony of Democrat racism

So now we watch the huge Democrat reset, as the party, reeling in its inconceivable defeat, still dwelling in its self created, delusional bubble of ignorance, tries to avoid whatever it was that #HillaryClinton did wrong, to not get elected, whilst building on the fabulous legacy of #Obama, that wasn't great enough for anybody to vote for the continuation of, nobody knows really what it is, #Obama didn't want to achieve it, because he didn't really want to upset anybody with any real change, & #PresidentTrump will shortly have dismantled it all, anyway.

So up, through the mud of incoherence claws this new mutation, Idaho Democratic Party Executive Director and DNC Chair candidate Sally Boynton Brown, who vows to protect all the people of colour from the dominant, white class that's been dominating the Democrats for too long & now they've all paid the terrible price of Trump for their pains.

Of course, it's hard to differentiate yourself as a white person, when being a white Democrat kind'v puts you directly in the middle of the "problem", not the "solution" column of the party's asset inventory.

Let's bring real change (again), so all the white people shut your mouths.

Read about the idiocy that is the best of the #Democrats & then think what your President might do for you, instead.

#Populism : definition by #GonzoLecture 101

Populism :
When the masses realise all the well reasoned & rehearsed arguments presented by the power-elites haven't worked in their favour, and transfer their support to anybody providing an alternative.

#DonaldTrump

#DonaldTrump, deserves a thump,
The arrogant, presumptuous chump,
Gun control & immigration,
Right wing acts of masturbation,
As the world just stands, incredulous,
Those, who aren't already on their knees,
Wondering what the fu¢k they're gonna do.

The #clinton orientation

Michael Moore's prediction that #DonaldTrump will win US Presidential election 2016 is bang on. The source of this theory is being played out this week at the ridiculous, pretentious carnival used to select the Democrat Party candidate.

Bernie Placebo was there, croaking away at his usual cries for unity, as his fans booed #Hillary, as if all that was at stake was the future of their own, Democrat Presidency.

Finally, as predicted, #HillaryClinton was seen, graciously accepting the nomination, and standing next to a little girl, telling young women everywhere that she was now living proof that they'd be next, as if the USA was breaking new ground, giving a woman a chance to lead & not simply expressing the bigotry so already obvious to all of us in the "old world".

The fact is, the USA is behind the times in almost every respect of life and its own sensibilities. It's only because its fears & prejudices are actually enshrined in its constitution that it's managed to hold fast to the archaic practices most other Western societies have managed to address over past decades.

The Democratic Party is still dedicated to the pursuit of old-way, product orientation. In the end, America, so backward & retarded in its worldview, dominated by greed & petroleum based expansions & lifestyle, still sees fit to preach to the rest of the world about how to live.

We've swallowed consumerism, been to war in the name of freedom & registered that we no longer want to be part of this farce.

The problem is, we need America, & we need America to be America towards the rest of the world. We need the Democrats to forget about themselves & to take responsibility for their role & how it safeguards the rest of us from America's greatest threat to the rest of us: #DonaldTrump.

Michael Moore's declaration that the passive minorities are too jaded by the political impotence of the Clinton-Kane ticket to even bother voting against #Trump, poses one of the hugest threats to the rest of us.

Trump has effectively threatened the future existence of NATO by reducing diplomacy to a business transaction :"pay your way & when the time comes & you need America's help, we'll think about helping you." His megalomaniac narcissism ignores completely the blood debt owed by the USA to those citizens of other nations who sacrificed themselves to protect its oil and other trade interests.

He's even suggested that his Presidency will seek, under his own self counsel, to simply reduce everything to basic, business deals; that the world's leaders can be negotiated with like real-estate agents.

There is only one alternative to the Trump-laden hell that awaits us. However, she's just looking at what she does, listening to the inane games played by the old politics of her old party. Like post-brexit, UK politicians & our media, everybody stateside is carrying on with the crappiness of business as usual, continuing in their pretentious, outdated delusions, without realising the whole world has changed & continues to do so, under their noses, but they're too wrapped up in their own, self-centred ways to even see it, talkabout be anything like what's required to manage the insurmountable challenges before us.

God help us.

A poem to #VoteRemainTards

Dear friends & neighbours,
Stupid arseholes,
Who've walked in shameful
Lands of dreams,
Where you have taken,
Stolen, hoarded,
Pissed on us, as if we're stupid,
Handled us, talked down, to us.
Smiled and mused,
as if you're worthy,
Grown & sturdy, passing off,
Yourself as leaders,
And all our problems,
Needing to learn,
Our rightful place.
Keep thinking about
Your stocks & shares
And what you did,
or gave, or paid,
Look at it, this game you played,
Forgetting who you think you are.
Consider what we're saying now:
We stand & labour,
Shivering in cold & effort
As we earn, your just return,
Because you provide.
But now, just look - it's over
Silent revolution,
In which, finally,
You cease to be.

We need to find a happy ending

We need to find
a happy ending
To all this talk,
& sick, mind-bending.
Dragging down,
the people here,
Spreading all their
Hate & fear,
Until we all capitulate,
Until old England,
Turns out Great,
And we can get back, to tv,
to malls & sport, & luxury,
And no discomfort,
No pain left,
Of walls, pitfalls,
And Masterchef.
So we don't have to,
feel no pain,
We'll go on, and on,
As we did, again.

The people spoke

The people spoke,
With the final word,
It wasn't a joke,
They pretended they'd heard.
But there was a business
Still had to be done
The smiley face
Stood, & laughed, & posed
That'd won the race
In the face,
Of all this country's foes.
That didn't matter now
In the throngs of those
Who asked now,
What to do...
We need to give them
Something sound
Something, that'll boost the pound,
So we can tell them,
It's all fine.
It'll all mend,
Given time.
So vote for, what we tell you to.
Vote for us, we'll see you through,
In the end, what can we do?
Trust us, we're all you have.

We should support #JeremyCorbyn

There hasn't been a credible voice of the UK left since before Neil Kinnock began the whole New Labour makeover, which in turn degraded into the image-politics of middle class Tony Blair & now have left a @labour party languishing in the shame & impotence of infighting.

The present situation is dire. The classic pull between principles & electability. Corbyn principles are spot on, but he's undermined by the reimaged middle of his party, whose ambitions to remain relevant far exceed their desire to implement the vision of their founders.

In the meantime, Gove becomes the #Brexit saviour of the Tory Party by being the only one close to step into the shoes of #borisjohnson who he's just deposed with a leaked email from his wife, a few harsh words about his former faction-leader's competence to lead anything more than a railway service, & a hasty throw of his hat in the ring for the Leadership.

My guess is he's been put up to advocate Theresa May as the test subject for the "Thatcher 2.0" initiative, in which we see them try to fob one of the few qualified #VoteRemain PMs they have on us, with Gove as the #Brexit man that can push the button on article 50 without being a real leader of the 5th largest world economy, and the only nation of 28 to ever tell the EU where to shove its evil empire.

If you don't like have missiles fired at you, stop firing them at neighbouring nuclear powers

I've been watching the idiocy the past few days coming out of Gaza. Has the world gone mad? You've got these fat bigmouths representing the Palestinians who only speak of they've got something to say against Israel, they never seem to answer a question and certainly do nothing for their case whatsoever by the way they conduct themselves.

If the Palestinians really want their children to stop dying from Israeli retaliations then they need to stop firing rockets at Israeli cities.

Hard hitters & bullshitters

Everything seems smooth until we refuse to comply with either unjust laws or social contracts that we haven't yet approved of as one of the concerned parties.

The prevailing culture of "do what we say or bear the consequences" is wearing, earing thin with all but the slowest, oldest or weakest among us. These laggards must also be  empowered to rise up and defend themselves from tyranny.

The pervading notion of "Britishness" on the one hand, versus everything categorised as "unbritish" or something else doesn't have a middle ground that seems to be acceptable to anybody at all.

My mum wants to watch this Carol service on BBC 2. This posh chap in a dress is currently reading from something by GKChesterton. She's going mental because she thinks he should be reading the bible to the TV viewers.

I explained that of the 2% of the UK population that bothers its arse to go church, this Etonian mess being staged before us represents probably only the very "top" 2% of that 2%.

'They can't read the bible,' I told her 'because the people don't want to hear it. They need to hit the market for this in the middle, to get the most viewers.'

My mum asked whether they have ordinary kids in these choirs. I said that these over privileged choir singers were the kids of horrid daddies who all worked in canary wharf & put their vile offspring in private boarding schools so they didn't have to deal with them.

It's bad enough that the Catholic Church decided to elect a small group of privileged people to sing for the rest of the congregation.

This weird unbiblical state of affairs seems to mirror British society, which is being engineered & managed by a few wealthy middle class people while the rest of us do all the work, according to the whims of the affluent upper class, for whose benefit all economic activity is, and for whom all the wealth is being generated.

She says I'm growing old and grumpy. I don't think I'm grumpy. Old? Yes,  but more angry than grumpy. Any thoughts in your mind?

My comments on The Holstee Manifesto

Please take a moment to review the following video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDmt_t6umoY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Life is short, but this video isn't.

The reason why viewers might be forgiven for having a feeling of a marjuiana moment where the world slows completely to a standstill, is because at the centre of these aphorisms are the same human needs for which we've sought satisfaction our whole lives.

We know the film maker is right. We've always known it, because really this is all we ever think about.

I like the movie. I like its principles & message. Each aphorism presented is its own truth.

The 1st problem is we don't know the depths that can be experienced of each of the truths presented.

The 2nd problem is that even were we to solve the 1st, we still would not know how to go on practically accomplishing them in our own lives for our selves.

I like the ambience of this production. I've seen his productions before & they're always well made. What is often lacking is any kind of detail behind the feel good exhortations they bring.

What is certainly missing is the pain someone needs to experience in order to change. This glossy, idealistic representation is therefore experientially inauthentic.

Certainly, the sugar coated message helps me subscribe to the channel, but will not likely bring me anytime soon into the light if it's truths.

The producer also credits his audience with too much intelligence.

Many people I know do not know their needs. They may feel a howl of emptiness within if they're lucky. Even so, they likely have no way to go about satisfying themselves.

Many may erroneously think this video is telling them to take up more physical activity. Maybe they should keep fit, or even take up cycling.

Our problem even then isn't our behaviour. The human problem the world over is with the human heart.

We don't live because our hearts are full of the troubles and fears for this existence in which I've found myself.

I can't fix my behaviours because I can't fix my heart.

This is the human condition. But where is the solution?

That is my problem. That is everybody's problem.

I haven't time to discuss any of this in detail, I'm trying to get my response ready for you guys to enjoy with your lunch.

Bon appetite.

Clegg & his part in the death of British Liberal Democracy

Mr Nick Clegg will be remembered as the man who single handedly took Liberal Democracy from relative irrelevance, smiled & talked on a TV debate, managing to convince voters he was a viable alternative to the dreadful Gordon Brown. He then took the LibDems from unelectability, reneged on almost every single principle of Liberal Democracy to make an unreasonable & some may say devilish pact with the dark side of the political agenda by using his party's votes to enable Cameron's Conservatives to unexpectedly sieze power in an unholy alliance of mismatched bedfellows.

After then having gained power literally by any means necessary, Clegg and his band then u-turned 180degrees on degrees and their pledge to fund free degree education for everybody capable of completing it. They had seen free education as a route to restoration of a selfish,  thoughtless stupid miscalculated misstep of the evil hater of working people everywhere, Thatcherism when they deregulated higher education to make it a quasi profit driven, government funded, competing market.

However, when faced with political principles versus political prominence,  Clegg caved in to conservative demands to make education pay even more for itself by forcing a "buy-now, pay-later" culture on all future, prospective degree students.

The "DFS-ing"  of UK higher education just piles the illusion of win-win in the middle of an undesirable status quo by suggesting graduates will make more than enough future salary from their degree to justify & finance their massive, lengthy repayments, or them avoiding repayment if their life doesn't quite work out the way they planned and they don't earn more than a rather low salary.

Anyway, this week Clegg, who seems badgered by divisions in his own party, some activists within which probably always had a conscience and no doubt stood silent yet aghast as they saw their manifesto tossed out after the vote count, their consternation tempered only by the rise in their pulses as they began to sniff a possible power thrill  they never seriously thought they'd be a country mile away from experiencing.

As they move from being the people with the ridiculous, idealistic policies to the uncomfortable collaborators in their own and possibly their country's demise, I imagine there was a feeling of no return as one bastion of progressiveness after another was torn down in one action after another to blame the little guy for all the economic problems and make him responsible for tightening his belt as the solution.

It was one step beyond. Will you listen to Clegg this week claiming that it was the libdems only who were prepared to get their hands dirty? Their hands are dirty. No wonder we feel hopeless when those who dedicate their lives to being the best, turn out to be the worst. At least the Tories stuck by their traditions even with their coldness towards the basic needs & expectations of those working people in they're supposed to serve.

Clegg & the Lib Dems are finished. Nobody will ever trust them again.

What do you think about this?

That sort of day...

Here I am sitting in my as yet unpaid for leather couch that I got in 4 years interest free credit with the complete intention of paying off the loan amount following the 9 month grace period the sofa company graciously afforded us before their monthly payment plan stays to kick in.

As it was, Kimono kept finding herself on the sucking end of George Osborne's failed "austerity plan" that was intended to kick off a series of successful features of the "Conservative party :the next generation" franchise :

These are the voyages of David and George... Their 5 year mission, to fuck the little people in the ass long Emlyn and hard enough to remember that they should be borrowing more to live for today and saving more S they'll be no social state provision in the agonising world of tomorrow. Keep working hard and we'll make sure you're rewarded... " woosh... Warp factor 10," save the earth "type jeopardy and the British people totally forget that they got blamed for something they didn't do and then got lumbered to put it all right again by taking a major drop in standard of living so the rich could stay rock and they could get the fuck on with it...

By the fucking conservative party led coalition government. What was in that cheese, fellas? I'm not fucking happy with any of this, I gotta tell you.

Klash the blogger - latest

A panicked Facebook update indicated that Professor Klash had run out of Olympic Games material to write about on his newspaper blog. It read:

"Help! What shall I write about next?"

As the Facebook fashion suggests, various numbskulls had commented beneath the plea for timely help with one meaningless load of drivel after the last. Of course, Olympics is something everybody thinks they know about, but actually it requires a steady hand and deep concentration to harvest the depths of such an enigma.

I stepped into the fray to help my good friend:

"Klash, you imbecile...Of course the "seat" thing was a major image gaffe for beijing and a no brainer for LOCOG to fix this time around. See my earlier article, I can't remember when it was-2010 I think. If not, read the book chapter. Oh yeah, its in my latest book as well. Anyway, you can't have run out of material already...?"

Well now I've done my best to set the good chap straight and on the right track once again, I'd add the importance of writing blogs as I do.

Any comments?

Letter to an Olympic Writer

I posted the following comment on Emma Abson's blog.
Hi Emma - I like your post, and your blog. I take your point about seating and think your argument - though difficult to support due to absence of data from LOGOG or anywhere - is sound. I've written about this problem as did much of the media way back in 2008 - it's a "no-brainer" to think it would be fixed right then and there - talk about waiting 4 years to 2012 and have EXACTLY the same thing happen again. LOCOG has to be held to account for such a cock-up, just on the basis of public funding/underwriting, etc.  As I've discussed on my own blog for the past few weeks (and obviously "seating" and tickets are 2 sides to the same coin), there is a perception of the Games which needs managing. Since 2008, we've had scandals in public life about the way public figures spend our money. This Olympics has risked falling into the appearance of being "The People's Games" funded by the people, FOR the bureaucrats and business fat-cats you seem to regard as just a necessary part of putting the whole show on. I just find the whole scene smells funny - but no more than I'd expect from LOGOG or the coalition. Appreciate your optimism, though - I need that too. Keep on with the blog, it's much needed. Charles.

Olympics 2012: Bad Planning

BBC Kent's Polly Evans - MUCH better looking than Danny Boyle

It's just bad planning. Reports today that the opening ceremony of the London Olympics has been cut by quite a few minutes to allow 80,000 people the chance to leave and return home via public transport is just ridiculous.

To think that 4+ years planning and the artfulness of Danny Boyle - the film director "tasked" with designing the opening- didn't somehow allow for enough time for people is ludicrous.

However, it is a complete relief to note that it's the lame-o BMX show-off event that's been cut.

What do you think? Do you?

Sunday, 15 July 2012

Hello again, Shithead

You'll recall in the run up to the UK's last, fated general election that this blog wholeheartedly attempted to support Gordon Brown's Labour Party.

The basic cases made at the time were that Nick Clegg and his "third-way by default" party were theoretically quite good, with their little hearts in the right place, but basically were interested in power at any price, including the a willingness to renege on any of their "heartfelt" principles at the drop of a hat.

Cameron's evil Tories were going to shamelessly continue Thatcher's hollow, profit-driven dismantling of all unionised labour and public sector provision in a short-termist attempt to finance tax-cuts for the already-rich.

The problem with the only, true option was that Labour had been in power too long and frankly needed a big, fat boot up its arse and a few, healthy years in opposition, whilst it seriously got its shit together.
Well we got the latter arrangement. We did so thanks to the useless Gordon Brown.

Gordon had sat in the wings, presiding over an inevitable economic meltdown at the side of grease-ball Tony Blair. This followed lies regarding our involvement in Iraq and its associated cozying-up to the insane, Bush administration's covert campaign for world domination.

So with the view that it was his turn, Gordon wanted the Prime Ministership as and when it became available. So when Tony Blair had outstayed his welcome, the situation was on the verge of collapse, off he went to cushy, high-paid public-speaking engagements, leaving Gordon to manage the shop.

Though a likely genius and economically able to hold his own, good old Gordon suffered from an awkwardness as a public figure due to strange-looking, bog-eyes and poor communication skills. Bumbling along, more like a toad than an actual man, he ended up the antithesis of Cameron's slickness.
This went really bad for Gordon when the stupid population - about half of which is too dumb and apathetic to even bother voting - bowed to Murdochian, media pressure to allow a presidential-style debate.

What wasn't predicted, was how impressive the hitherto-trivial Clegg would be in his TV performance.
Gordon performed badly in 3 televised debates - he couldn't even look at the camera properly - and then the worst happened.

In a live, local "pressing of the flesh" circus appearance, Gordon did his part, before retiring to the comfort and safety of his convoy. Unbeknown to him, his microphone was left on as he continued to share his observations of his last conversation with a voter.

Unaware that the public could hear his comments, he described the woman as "dreadful" and a few other choice adjectives he should have left well-alone. At that point, Gordon showed his true, self-centred colours and I believe Labour lost the election.

All that was left to do was count the votes and listen to Gordon's pathetic apology to his minions for losing the election single-handedly. He condemned us all to these cruel years of an unelected Clegg-Cameron wasteland, the ramifications of which will likely never be eradicated.

Yesterday it was announced that Gordon was back and would be a special envoy to the international community. Good news for Gordon.

I've never been particularly bothered about the type of work Gordon will be doing in his new role, nor the kind of folk he'll be doing it with.

God help them, that's all I can say.

Do you like Gordon? Post a comment...
