I'm referring to the resignation of England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen after his irrenconcilable and ongoing fued with coach Peter Moores. Both men have been firing regular volleys across the boundary at each other in the press.
It seems that both of these men have both lost their jobs as a result. It seems according to Sky that Pietersen tried his best to get Peter Moores ousted and it didn't work and as a result he went - and so did Moores. Baffling really.
It seems that the sticking point for Pietersen made the error of using his newspaper column to express his frustration with Moores in public.
Ironically, the last thing this is about is the game iself. It's a crisis of professionalism which is becoming a major problem in our society. They should just have argued with each other in private, not in the media.
