The OUTLAW ACADEMIC

There's been a vast amount of interest displayed in my forthcoming novel,  the OUTLAW #ACADEMIC. The most common question,  apart from the obvious "When will this opus be finally released?" & "how much are planning to finally stiff us for in order to monetize your nepharious gonzo empire?" we're brought to the inevitable question:

What is the Outlaw Academic all about?

Well,  it's all about a university college professor /lecturer, depending on which side of the pond you dwell - sorry I mean ocean -  the Atlantic.

He lives out a fantasy existence in a virtual Habermasian life world as a fictional,  character, alter ego in a blog. As he becomes a world class writer & social media expert, the management drones at his university turn on him through a terrible twist of events & he is pursued by an evil, yet incredibly cool "Man in Black"  who appears dedicated to our hero's destruction.

The story's main love interest is a Mexican, black, blind, lesbian midget called Katiro -  I reserve the right to change names & character attributes as I go along, in accordance with the needs of the story.

A particularly strong scene sees our hero,  called Chris Tyler, who makes a heartfelt appeal to the Paraguayan employment court on behalf of his lecturer friend, Mogli, which results in them successfully suing their employer for constructive dismissal. This results in one of the antagonists being bungied out of a toilet window, only by his entrails.

Though based on a fictitious set of events, I've tried carefully to construct the atmosphere & ambience of some of the real institutions I've had the pleasure of enduring as a professional academic of many years standing.

Thus, there's an amusing account of a punch up in the college faculty common room bar. There's also another punch up about whose book is the best. There's a rather alluring account of the attempted seduction of a young job applicant by his dirty, cougar boss.

Careers are damaged, hearts and employment laws are broken, as our hero achieves utopia in his little patch of the earth.

I'm hoping this little story will change the face of university education for the better, make us reconsider or ways & our society's future, as well as make our #tgltag cause a little bit of money to spread around to those who really need it.

Hi Charles, good luck with your book, once you become rich and famous will you still be the shy and unassuming fellow we've all come to know and love or will you let all the money go to your head? Did you include a chapter on online education and its future? Bill
