The power of #British #Brexit #legal #hypocrisy

The outgoing "President" of the UK supreme court makes a parting shot today at the government, saying that his judges, responsible for ruling against the government's approach to #Brexit, & thus branded by UK #MSM as "enemies of the people" (Daily Mail) were not defended quickly enough, thus challenging the rule of law as a bedrock of British society.

It's a bizarre feature of the UK social system that the elite, who've assumed they rule us, whilst we fund their capitalist regime, gain our acquiescence to our own financial & even physical destruction via these sorts of hypocritical deceits.

America, also under the law & therefore a country of law & legal enforcement, affords its citizens amendments to its constitution as legal rights. The first of such amendments entitles all US inhabitants the right to freedom of speech, regardless of how odious that speech might be.

Britain, technically doesn't have a constitution at all, although I'm assured by legal specialists in my office that there is a constitution "somewhere" embodied in British law, if you splice bits of it together.

What is bullshit, is the Great British middle class's insistence of the objectivity of public officials in their ability to somehow put aside their personal feelings about everything whilst considering such cases only on the basis of the "facts" of each case.

At the same time, there are calls for better diversity to be demonstrated in the appointees to this highest court in the land. Currently there's only one, white woman & the rest are all white men. One spokesman on that vile tool of British social conditioning, the #BBC #bbcnews #l @BBCr4today programme suggested this narrowness meant that such white, middle class, predominantly male judges were incapable of understanding the social backgrounds and situations of their much more diverse subjects in the cases they presided over. Clearly, there's no need for me to also explain the much higher ratio of UK black to white "criminals" that have their cases considered by the UK supreme court.

The reasons for this contradiction are beyond you and me, the "normal" people of the country, who go about our business, working our arses off in shitty jobs, to buy crap we don't need, if we're lucky not to just be trying to keep our stupid, undereducated heads above the rising tide of debt, on which our wonderful society is built.

In answer to the question by the @BBCr4today journotard, the judgetard strongly protested at the suggestion that the UK supreme court appointees should be subjected to the same kind of governmental, public scrutiny they do in the US circus. The white man judgetard simply said he was happy that legal deliberations were made by his judge colleagues without any knowledge on his part of their personal political affiliations.

Of course, many social scientists have declared, for over a century, that there's no such thing as pure objectivity in any human decision making - that, as those calling for more diversity on our courts' benches exclaim, human beings' judgements will always be coloured by subjectivity. That's the main reason research students are always told that it's never objectivity, but validity that must be fought for.

#ukpolitics : UK Labour #UKIP & the floating UK #secretvoter

I was very touched by the whole USA situation following the shock & unpredicted by the polltards & the #msm mediatards #election2016 of #PresidentElectTrump #DonaldTrump.

I was really dismayed by the awful howling of people like the ridiculous, once respected CNNtard #VanJones who like #senatorjohnlewis has, in an attempt to expose the flaws of the publicly-flawed President Elect, has actually exposed his own, weak character and the awful plight of the once-right, Left.

If there's one thing I've learned, at my stage of life, it's that it ain't where you start out, but where you end up, that really matters to your legacy. I feel an #Obama rebuttal craving, coming on,that I'm madly going to resist.

Who am I? I'm the UK #secretvoter - in the former #JeremyCorbyn voter, who's had enough of watching failed, radical left-wingers pissing in the mouths of the faithful, while they also pass policies that don't work.

I watched my TV as the ridiculous,UK, middle-class elite toppled a makeshift statue of George Bush Jr as homage to the demonisation of Saddam Hussain by his own people. I wondered what had happened to my country. Had the British lost their minds?

Then I discovered, after campaigning on doorsteps for the establishment of Labour's utopian dream of the New Jerusalem, that the leader elected, Tony Blair, had lied to us, and the war had been instigated under what was then considered to be false pretences.

I then saw his predecessor Gordon Brown act like an arrogant jerk, resulting in an ostricisation of Labour, from which it has never returned.

Now, as Labour mainly stayed silent or merely tossed its internal salad to the sound of its own high & mighty moralisation of its own #VoteRemain virtue, when anybody with a brain knew #JeremyCorbyn wasn't really the kindv leader that'd speak out against his own moral convictions not to live under the lash of Angela Merkel, and those other eurotard fuckwits, who thought they'd try & run Britain, when the bottom half of the EU can't run their own economies, & only want us in the EU so that they can flood over the channel & take coffee shop jobs from British, unemployed young people.

Now, the only goddamn democrat in the UK turns out to be the unelected Conservative Prime Minister, #TheresaMayPM who keeps not taking shit from all the ones who shouldn't be giving it in the first place, because the truth is, she's the UK leader of the moment and for the moment. She ain't no Thatcher - she's educated & understands the mood of the people - the potentially dangerous ones, anyway.

She also realises that the only #Brexit that's going to work for those who voted for #Brexit is a hard one. No... I'm not going to bother with any "hard" jokes...

The UK must have a hard #Brexit - that means one that results in us leaving the EU #SingleMarket - not really because we don't want to continue in the biggest trade arrangements we currently have as an economy, but because we, the British people - and most of the ones who've made their homes here, from other places, whom I speak to & work with, and am close to, do not amy longer want unrestricted access by those who wish to come here, to our country, its borders, its benefits system, and its job market.

Failure to deliver hard #Brexit, will, as #mayoroflondon @sadiqkahn states in his article here, destroy the UK Conservative Party, cause a swell of support for UKIP from discontented, betrayed Conservative voters who demanded by their #VoteLeave, that we #Brexit from the EU.

What Sadiq Kahn isn't paying attention to, is that the dangerous #secretvoter now is not dependent on what #TheresaMayPM does with the #Brexit negotiations, but what #JeremyCorbyn & the @UKLabour party does, to determine whether the defectors vote Conservative, or to give #UKIP as political outsiders, more of a foothold in Parliament.

If Labour, #JeremyCorbyn & @sadiqkahn continue doing, and saying what their principled hearts tell them, rather than eyeing their own support base - many of whom I'll tell you are pissed-off ethnic minorities (a big number in London, smaller elsewhere, but replaced by the white van, indignant, surburbian, northern & Scottish rustbelt), they'll be scratching their arses harder than a pair of Clintonite fundraisers come 2020.

Beware Labour. Don't fuck with us.

#lego probably misguidedly thinks its action against the #dailymail is a good thing?

The #PR campaign by @LEGO_Group UK against the #dailymail is, at best, a cynical damage-limitation exercise to try to link its #CSR family-based market image objectives, with the opening of its new #London flagship store.

This isn't new thinking, at all - and is probably because print media has likely had its day, anyway. Also, companies such as #lego need to relook at spend, and take care of their own public image.

Whilst this is just UK university graduate-types sitting in a glass-walled concept room, trying to come up with the next remotely clever idea to score points, keep their jobs, hit revenue targets, etc, the disturbing lack of original thought by the dullard, supposedly-educated, UK #socialmedia audience shows, once again, how those devoid of any real life-purpose, or real day to day struggle, also lack any substantive power for critically responsible thought.

Take your place in #wankerdom

If you're going to work, you might as well work hard & make a load of dough.

A stupid person's the one that squanders an opportunity.

A stupid person also plays by the rules. Part of the game's to stay out'v the glare of the referee, whomever that might be.

Divided

And now we're divided,
After we'd complied.
The whole thing's misguided,
We found out they lied.
But we know that we've tried it,
And know that it died.

A poem to #VoteRemainTards

Dear friends & neighbours,
Stupid arseholes,
Who've walked in shameful
Lands of dreams,
Where you have taken,
Stolen, hoarded,
Pissed on us, as if we're stupid,
Handled us, talked down, to us.
Smiled and mused,
as if you're worthy,
Grown & sturdy, passing off,
Yourself as leaders,
And all our problems,
Needing to learn,
Our rightful place.
Keep thinking about
Your stocks & shares
And what you did,
or gave, or paid,
Look at it, this game you played,
Forgetting who you think you are.
Consider what we're saying now:
We stand & labour,
Shivering in cold & effort
As we earn, your just return,
Because you provide.
But now, just look - it's over
Silent revolution,
In which, finally,
You cease to be.

#Stress is not a requirement of #employment [02] changing customers

I think I'm on the culmination of a set of recent experiences. I've been facing a change in my industry's macroenvironment, which has suddenly come about, mainly due to the management panic induced by the change in the fee structure of how students pay for their UK degree provision.

As a result, anybody not fully on board with the idea that the customer is King and/or Queen & that the student is customer, better get the fuck out of wherever.

We've thus managed back ourselves into a corner in which the old things aren't considered important, mainly because the customer's actually different.

Neighbourliness...

I'm pretty sure
a neighbour of mine
shouted out'v his car:
"You gotta licence to be out now, have you?" at me, as he drove past, just now...

It's been a weird week, for people living in the #Brexit suburbs, yet earning one's livelihood well inside #VoteRemain territory, in fortress #London...

It's brought out the worst in people, both sides of the coin, which about as much attention, it seems most people have really engaged with any real issues... BUT

People can't be blamed for being the way they are & it's all been rather frightening for everybody, particularly people who have made their home, here, from another place. They must honestly be having a time of it, now.

I see many customers & friends from other countries feeling a mix of fear & disappointment, as their home might justv well as told them they weren't wanted. I fear more, that this might be the truth somewhere to some, & thus we've finally become, what we're not.

The people spoke

The people spoke,
With the final word,
It wasn't a joke,
They pretended they'd heard.
But there was a business
Still had to be done
The smiley face
Stood, & laughed, & posed
That'd won the race
In the face,
Of all this country's foes.
That didn't matter now
In the throngs of those
Who asked now,
What to do...
We need to give them
Something sound
Something, that'll boost the pound,
So we can tell them,
It's all fine.
It'll all mend,
Given time.
So vote for, what we tell you to.
Vote for us, we'll see you through,
In the end, what can we do?
Trust us, we're all you have.

We should support #JeremyCorbyn

There hasn't been a credible voice of the UK left since before Neil Kinnock began the whole New Labour makeover, which in turn degraded into the image-politics of middle class Tony Blair & now have left a @labour party languishing in the shame & impotence of infighting.

The present situation is dire. The classic pull between principles & electability. Corbyn principles are spot on, but he's undermined by the reimaged middle of his party, whose ambitions to remain relevant far exceed their desire to implement the vision of their founders.

In the meantime, Gove becomes the #Brexit saviour of the Tory Party by being the only one close to step into the shoes of #borisjohnson who he's just deposed with a leaked email from his wife, a few harsh words about his former faction-leader's competence to lead anything more than a railway service, & a hasty throw of his hat in the ring for the Leadership.

My guess is he's been put up to advocate Theresa May as the test subject for the "Thatcher 2.0" initiative, in which we see them try to fob one of the few qualified #VoteRemain PMs they have on us, with Gove as the #Brexit man that can push the button on article 50 without being a real leader of the 5th largest world economy, and the only nation of 28 to ever tell the EU where to shove its evil empire.

How did they survive so long?

Many times I've alluded to poor generic strategy. No example stands out more than woolworths. The only person I can remember who really understood this chain was my Granny, and she's unfortunately been gone now a long time.

I do remember looking for something a few months ago in Woolworths in Blingford. I do know I'd tried three shops with no success. After five minutes of wandering around I had not only been unable to find the object of my quest, but I was also left wondering what market this strange, boring and outdated retailer was in. Sweets, CDs/DVDs and "haberdashery" - is that what you call all that junk that you can't classify clearly?

Not a staff member in sight and nothing to buy even if I wanted to.

Bye bye Woolworths. Social darwinism does have its uses after all.

Hang the DJ

Now you got me onto the subject of the north of England, I digress to the Smiths. There's one thing about the North and that is that all the great bands come from there.

I saw the Smiths at the Manchester Free Trade Hall in 1986. "Ask" just came in at number 2 in the national charts and they opened with this song. People were dancing in the aisles at the time and I recall the euphoria, as well as the sneaking feeling in my stomach that they were about to become total sell-outs. This they did. The next morning we found out that we hadn't witnessed that last date on that national tour, but that they'd played a private set at the Millionairre's Club in the centre of town right after we'd gone home. Morrisey never went back to his roots after that. Too commercial. I still love listening to those classic tracks though.
